I would like to start this off by saying I had a great time. I was pleasantly surprised by the talent and thought little Thatch was a awesome! I attended the after party at the pub and it was fun watching the performers let loose and play for us like we were in their living rooms. Who would have thought Daron would lay down some Led Zeppelin? Lastly, I think Daron and Trinity were awesome together! Can I smell a Duo Performance? 🙂

  2. I was honored to photograph this awesome event! Such talented and wonderful artists all in one one night, (my head is still spinning). Trinity Seely, Daron Little, Thatch Elmer, JC and Sonja Needham, a mandolin on the side, and Tyler Guy…all these artists are professionals and full of talent and love for the Western way of life.

Thatch Elmer had us in tears, had us laughing, and standing on our feet. That youngster is so full of wisdom and shows us what life is all about. The little buckaroos in their cowboy hats all lined up by the door was a sight to behold, and not to mention, a sold out audience that filled up the room.

A special thanks to Tyler and Sylvia Guy, for all your hard work – you’ve organized a great show, with an excellent venue and talented line up of fine artists, the participation of many generous sponsors and volunteers. The attendance to this event shows a love for Western Music and the art of original song and poetry…all part of keeping the Western traditions alive for the next generation. We look forward to another program Tyler and Sylvia, and putting Tooele, Utah on the Western Music map.

We really enjoyed the show. The performers are extremely talented. Can’t wait for the next show.

  4. We’d first like to say that we were very honored to be asked to perform at the 1st Western Music and Songwriters Concert Series. Having the opportunity to share the stage with the likes of Trinity Seely, Daron Little and Thatch Elmer was, in itself, a huge thrill for us.
We’d like to thank all the sponsors (listed to the right) for seeing the vision of what Western Music can mean to Tooele County and for taking a chance on a bunch of Cowboy entertainers they’d never heard of. We’d also like to thank them for their fine hospitality. You were all wonderful and we very much appreciate all you did.
Now, to the meat of everything….The organization of how the show was put together was amazing. We were fortunate enough to see a little glimpse of what went on behind the scenes to make this Show the huge success that it was…Tyler, Sylvia and their entire outfit pulled off an unbelievable feat. We heard comments from folks to the effect that they were so pleasantly surprised at how nice the venue was arranged and how organized everything seemed to be. Right down to the freshly pressed, white table cloths that we can honestly say we know Sylvia spent hours before the show steaming each and every one of them herself. We can’t even imagine how many hours went into making this all happen. Also, we cannot express enough gratitude for all volunteers that helped out behind the scenes.
And lastly, but certainly not least, we want to thank all the fans of Western Music and the Western Way of Life for coming out and supporting this fantastic Concert Series. When we walked out on that stage for the first time and looked out amongst that huge crowd, we were awestruck and a little choked up. We have lived in Tooele County for a long time and we have never experienced this type of support for something so new and so virtually unheard of, it almost left us speechless….almost. We say this all the time….”if it weren’t for all the fans of Western Music, we’d just be singin’ to our horses….”
And…believe it or not, we have it from “good sources” that Tyler and Sylvia have already started planning the next Western Music and Songwriters Series Concert. We can’t wait to see what this one brings! Thank you all again for the support and we hope our trails cross again soon….
