Kevin Davis, Walters ,OK
Kevin Davis is an award winning singer/songwriter from southwest Oklahoma. He comes from a family of horsemen and has been a champion rodeo cowboy for many years competing in bareback, saddle bronc, calf roping and team roping. He has been a working cowboy for 20+ years all over Oklahoma and Texas. Drawing from his experiences and the people he has known, he started writing songs. Little did he know how this would impact his life. With his first album, he won the Will Rogers Award from the Academy of Western Artists Association. He has shared the stage with many well-known acts such as R.W.Hampton, Red Steagall, Michael Martin Murphy, and even Merle Haggard. It has been said that he can paint a picture with his songs, and make you feel like you are there. He is a true lover of the American West.
Trinity Seely, Ashby, NE
Trinity Seely’s life has taken her to many different places, ranging from the cattle country of British Columbia, Canada to the beautiful Ojai Valley of California, from the majestic peaks of the Wasatch Front of Utah, to the high desert plains of Wyoming – where a vast sea of sagebrush and granite peaks stole her heart. Now she resides in the green rolling sand hills of Nebraska. She has received nominations for the Crescendo Award from the Western Music Association for 2012 and 2013, and Female Western Singer and Western Album of the Year from the Academy of Western Artists in 2012. Recently she received an award from the Western Music Association for song of the year for 2014 for her song “Cowboy Hat”. “Old Poly Rope”, “Cricket Roll” and “Cowboy Hat” have also received many great reviews and nominations. Trinity has been a featured performer at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, NV., Heber City Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival in Heber City, UT, Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Durango CO, Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering in Prescott, AZ and many more, including a trip to Germany where she shared her western lifestyle with new friends.
Thatch Elmer, Bear River, WY
Thatch “The Bear River Buckaroo “, is a 12 year old Cowboy Poet from Bear River Wyoming. Thatch has been reciting Cowboy Poetry since he was old enough to speak a complete sentence. Thatch enjoys writing and reciting originals along with the classics. He has been influenced by his Father, Grandfathers, and family friend Don Proffit. Thatch has spent his 12 years listening to stories about ranch life, as it used to be, from his Great Grandpa who was a Cowboy for 88 years. Thatch is a Co-Recipient of the First annual “Rod McQueary/Sue Wallis” Scholarship Award which was presented to him at the 2014 National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, Nevada. Thatch is also a published poet on Cowboypoetry.com and in the book “Cowboy Rhymes-N-Dreams of Other Times”. His debut CD titled “The First Go Round” has been nominated for several awards and can be heard on Western Radio Stations in the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe. Thatch has performed at many gatherings throughout the West, sharing the stage with numerous talented Cowboy Poets and Western Musicians, and has enjoyed making new friends and fans everywhere he goes.

Hey folks if your itchen to get an early peak at the Buckaroo Balladeers they will be appearing tomorrow January 15 2014 on channel 4 (ABC) mid day news at approximately 11:00 am. Be sure to tune in and check it out. We will try and post a link to the recording if you don’t have an opportunity to catch it live.
If the good Lord is willin and the creeks don’t rise we could see Tyler Guy throw down some Cowboy Poetry, however, you never know what those news folks will have in store, guess we will wait and see.

Tyler Guy knows how to show his stuff! In a two minute interview Tyler informed the folks of Utah about the first annual concert event being held in the Desert Peak Complex Convention Center January 18 2014.
The show features Trinity Seely, Daron Little, The Buckaroo Balladeers, and special guest Thatch Elmer.
